That the rest of this school year and all the work I do preparing and delivering lessons will all be wasted time because students are now allowed to simply not do anything if they don't want to and can not fail. What does this teach anyone? Why am I continuing to do anything...

I guess for the few students I have that still want to learn something this year...

I suspect that the next school year will be a lot of extra remedial course work. That is unless this virus doesn't return for a second go and shut down the schools again.

I suspect that regional hot spots will see the shutdowns in the upcoming years provided more effective testing comes into play. But I also predict that you'll be seeing more student and teacher health screenings coming into constant play as well.
