I've gone a whole month without smoking. So many people thought that I would cave in and start smoking again, lol! Well I feel proud of myself and so glad I didn't smoke.
I did quite well in grad school, tyvm.
Linguistics made my heart sing.
Physics made me suicidal.
Maybe it’s her.
Oh ya! Physics was ungodly hard!
I actually did fail calc-based physics in undergrad, but when I showed my professor my acceptance letter to pharmacy school, he gave me a C and said, “You’ll never use any of this material where you’re going.”
Those physics tests were literally 2-3 questions.
One question gave a situation where a disk was spinning on ice, and you had to figure out the speed of the spin after another disk was dropped on top of the spinning disk after a certain amount of time.
My brain like exploded.
And I tried Calculus 2. I quit within the first week.
Those classes are insane.
I only passed Physics in high school because I would lean waaaay over the teacher’s desk in my little tank top. Thank God for dirty old men... (and I was a senior and 18 so all legal and all)
I was asked in college to not take any more classes in the sciences (I had a tendency to light things on fire in labs)
Tested out of college math with my AP scores though...and ended up with a degree in a foreign language - go figure!
Sometimes I wish I owned my own home. Other times, like when we have a major plumbing issue, I'm glad it's my landlord's problem. I'm also very grateful to have a good and responsive landlord.
Feel fortunate. I fixed a lot of my own problems when I had an awful landlord. And he lost a lot of rent from the supplies I had to purchase just to have running water and a toilet that worked.
It's feckin' hot.
Cheezus H Rice that's creepy.
