Thinking how my former wife, when she needed to go out of town on business, would arrange play dates for me with her friends, presumably to keep me out of trouble. Even after we divorced, she would set me up with women. She has always been too good to me.

Well, here’s the truth: we had always been friends, but were never madly in love. And she became more interested in her business than in our relationship, and I threw myself into work too. I’m slightly obsessive/compulsive and she’s ADD, so it was hard for us to get on the same page. And then I had this truly ridiculous affair. Amongst all of this, my wife started saying she wanted to have another child, and I thought, No, this is too much for me. Story of my life. Sorry you asked?

Oh, she’s family! We have two wonderful children and she’s still one of my favorite people to talk to. We read the same books, we listen to the same music. We have delightful times together and have never fought or disparaged each other.
