I watched that a couple nights ago! I thought I was already familiar with much of his work, but yhere are so many things I didn’t know he scored!

I’ve always wanted to go to one of the Hollywood Bowl concerts where he conducts the LA Phil in playing music from films he’s scored while the videos play on the big screens. I did go to one of the screenings of Star Wars: A New Hope accompanied by the LA Phil and it was so much fun!

That’s not what either one of us are saying. What’s the point of having dedicated threads for dedicated topics if people post whatever they want wherever they want anyway?

If people want to post toxic political comments all over the place, that’s fine. It’s also annoying. I’m here for me, but I’m considerate of others too and I’ll keep those posts in the appropriate thread.

If it doesn't belong in a thread, honestly doesn't belong, report it. But if it is someone talking about their experience in a thread that is open to that, so be it. I have a very exclusive Ignore list, but I also don't read every word, especially if I see right away it is going to annoy me. But one person's reasonable statement is someone else's toxic rant, and I am not arrogant enough to think my opinion is the only one that matters. I leave that to the wisdom of the mods, may the most holy cats and crows place blessings upon them.

People and scared, and in pain. That is real for them, even if it is just annoying to someone else. And if this isn't a place where people who are scared and in pain can go to express themselves, what are we even doing here?

(And no, I am not going into the Politics board. Did that once, when I first got here, hoping for a reasonable political discussion, not diving for pearls in a cesspool.)
