Wanker of the Week Anals
‘There ain’t nowhere to go butt up.’

The recipients (so far) of this prestigious non-popularity, popularity prize as nominated by peers and voted on by a completely partial, non-biased but probably totally biased, randomly changing, always extraordinary and exquisitely discerning, hugely overworked panel of judge.

Well, we'll see. Because it may end up being a bigger hell than the two days of waiting. We shall see.
i share your trepidation. i am hoping for the best. i have no falsities about the true characters of men/women...but ultimately i have no control over it. my degree is in american politics and law with an emphasis on constitutional law...tuesday is my super bowl...i will be up all night...but unlike some years past i understand what is at stake and what the results really mean...im hoping for the best, but i'm not going to let it ruin my mood...politics is too triggering for me to get into it, but i've done all i can do, and i'm content with that.

I feel similarly. I voted almost a month ago, so I can complain with impunity if it turns out upside down. I also might be looking for living situations in Europe soon. :p

I used to be here. I was in my first serious campaign at 13. I have volunteered numerous times, and been a paid campaign member at least five times (mostly data and IT work), and a writing consultant once, for one of the National Big Two. And I used to love it, all of it. 20-hour days living on stale sandwiches and bad coffee, stress, hope, screaming -- all of it. And the whole "Inside Baseball" nature of seeing it from the other side. I loved it. Even after, I was a political junkie -- I read SCOTUS cases for fun. Loved it.

But...I can't do it anymore. I am from an age where working with the other side of the aisle was not only seen as a positive, it was necessary. Now it is a political third rail. I can't stand the hate, and vitriol, that leads to more hate and vitriol, which encourages more candidates with hate and vitriol. I pay attention, I vote, I make educated choices, but I can't watch the clown college anymore. I avoid the noise now.

Someone needs to grow the fuck up, stop being such a bitch, and stop whining over stupid shit. FFS!
