I will be a tourist soon... i intend to stand on street corners, blocking the way. Asking bus drivers endless questions and then getting off as it's the wrong bus. Having no clue how to buy tickets for said bus. Lingering in shop doorways and being a nuisance to actual shoppers. Suddenly stopping and changing direction when walking down the street.

any other tips?

Well.. please go for bike rides, with big groups of other tourists.. preferably places where the signs tells you that it is not allowed to bike, and you should get off.. But!! You should just continue, you are the tourist.. so that the locals, maybe even me? Would either have to hope for you to stop, or be forced to fall down and get hurt.. or, we would both collide and get hurt.



If you meet me though, I would really advice you to get down, I do not have the hobby of getting injuries because of idiots.

Same!! As a tourist, I will be extra careful.. knowing that I am out of my element, trying my best to be a non- disturbance, almost bending backwards, to be sure that I follow the rules, the laws.. and the rhythm of the locals!

Also.. travelling in groups, I just never saw the attraction in it, how do people get a feeling of the place they are visiting, when they travel in a huge foreign group, not even trying to blend in?

It beats me.

My special skill.. I have no sense of direction, it goes hand in hand with my light- facial blindness..I just cannot recognise landmarks, places I have been.. or faces (the more I am exposed to a face, the better I am at recognising it.. But, it is beyond the embarrassing line, luckily - most people tend to think I am aloof or just very introverted.. and, they would be right! ).
But my skill is brilliant.. I look lost wherever I am, and somehow.. It works for me!
When I am a tourist, I am that lost one.. when I am at home.. I am that lost one!
It is perfect.

Haha!! Even my youngest got a waaaaay better sense of direction than me.. she even knows where North is!! It is pure magic.

The cafe was lovely, it's not the same as in the film, there is no tabac, but it's the same one. Say outside being very european with my hot chocolate and watched Paris go by. Lots of people go there for the film, but it's still a cosy little cafe.
