What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

Yeah, like where did he meet this lovely lady? What happened to the first guy? This is some CSI stuff.

And what happened to his wife? Why did they both end up being dead beat parents!? How come the kids never talk about them? So many questions.

RIP Shannon Doherty and a very #FuckCancer
This one hurt a lot but it’s important to note that she declined some conventional treatment AND was uninsured for a while meaning she missed screenings. She was a strong advocate for those of us facing breast cancer and many of us are hurting due to feeling like we lost one of our own. When vocal famous people pass from this, we hurt. It might seem irrational. I hope she’s finally free from pain.

If you can’t be bothered to read the whole post why bother commenting at all
So that people that don't know anything about me can call me a 'fucking dick' clearly.

You know nothing about my situation. I was merely pointing out that the 'but' was not required but now await the inevitable 'popular' pile on.

Whatever your situation is, you are a fucking dick for making a comment when one wasn’t really needed and without knowing the situation of the poster whose post you commented on. Maybe try reading the whole thing and then see if you still think your comment was worth making.

And for the record, I am not part of the popular groups and I definitely don’t need anybody piling on you to prove what a dick move you made

Why? For stopping when they said its sad but...?

It's sad without caveats.
It’s important for breast cancer patients to understand why medicine is needed. She was open about stopping her tamoxifen use and her insurance debacle because creatives often lapse their medical coverage and pay the price later.

Many breast cancer patients believe the treatment is worse than the disease because the side effects can be so bad on the meds. Until you’re unable to walk because of the pain caused by them, you have no idea.

You're right. I've not been through it, only watched it happen again and again. I apologise for any offence caused to you for any misunderstanding I made of your post. I just didn't understand why the sadness needed to be conditional.

The sadness isn’t conditional. The sadness comes from people posting that this makes them think of their own breast cancer odds. When something like this happens, we face our own mortality from this disease. But the truth is she didn’t follow ‘normal’ protocol so worrying about your (3rd person plural) odds against Shannen’s isn’t useful. Which is happening in a lot of groups. I’d say the same if someone famous died and didn’t have access to certain treatments (many European countries don’t use some common treatments here) so as to contextualize the differences. You’re welcomed to think that’s obnoxious or conditional. That’s just the reality of our community. ‘If she didn’t have X and I did, maybe my odds are better’

I heard you had a CLIQUE

Why do people have to try to hard to be someone they're not? Look, buddy, I get it. You're badass. Listen, ma'am. Yeah, you're pretty. Geez! Just be you!
