What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I use a very pale green, not a whole lot off white, just enough to notice.

For most rooms, I used just off white, antique white.

Yellows and blues don't really work for me for room walla.

But for one room, just to be different, I used a pale orange. Sort of peachy, but again, just off white enough to notice the color.

Greens and oranges seem to work with wood accents.
Yes, I was considering a pale almost salmon? or peach color. So, kind of orangey. The room is darker, so a more neutral lighter shade will brighten it.

And the furniture is natural wood stained.

Light walls are key to a brighter room with less light.

They also take sharp accent colors better, lamps, throw rugs, wall hangings, etc.

I've also gone to all LED lights throughout, some of which allow minor color changing to tune to the room.

All good ideas, thank you

The various lengths of LED RGB light strips work great for indirect lighting. The generally sell them for TV or monitor accent lights, or maybe for undershelf lighting I have one strip in a curio cabinet and another around a picture frame. They're mounted in ways that I don't see the strips at all, only the light from them. USB powered, so you can use one of those plug in adapters and they don't really use any power at all. Remote makes it easy to select color/tone and brightness, or you can use a mobile device for more options.

What color should I paint this room? And can I switch out these tired old closet doors? How difficult is that to do? 🤔
Do you like to switch up your decor a lot? Curtains are easy to install and depending on the fabric and hanging style (grommet, pocket, sliding panels, recessed, cornices, etc) they can be made to look luxe, modern, vintage, dramatic, casual, minimalist or any other style you can imagine. They can easily be changed out whenever it suits your mood.

You know, I don’t really give myself time to spruce up my house as much as I’d like. I have time in the summers so I’m trying to take advantage of that now. But it sounds like you’re way more knowledgeable than I am! I’ll look at curtains once I get the room painted :) thanks for the suggestion. 🌷

That's why you go with a neutral-ish wall color. Changing things like drapes/curtains and rugs is quite easy and can make a big difference. You can even change them by season to change the whole feel of the room.

So much goes into color choice for me.

First, it’s important to have a color palate for the house (mine is by floor and they flow into each other in an intentional way.) Random colors in different rooms can be super jarring and make the house seem smaller.

Second, the intended use of the room matters. Do I want to be more awake, thoughtful, or relaxed in there? What is the reason I’m changing it - to fix a problem, freshen things up, allow me to change decor seasonaly, something else?

Third, I usually have something as a starting point that I love. A piece of art, a beautiful silk pillowcase, a wallpaper pattern I am obsessed with, etc. that is the starting point and I pick colors from there.

Thank you so much for this. Wow, now I have more to consider! This is a small room that I’m fixing up for when my mom or my sister comes to visit. I’d like for them to feel at home there. I have a rug that my dad gave me that I am using so maybe I can use that as a starting point.

I dont really have a color palette for the house 😬. I guess I’m not that great of a decorator. It’s clean though! So that’s a plus!

Love your thinking style, that's phenomenal 🥰

I'm more a feeler when it comes to decorating. I like to sense the space along with the architecture. Is it giving me glam vibes (art deco with lots of gold), industrial (dark wood and metals) or cosy and comfortable (faux fur throws or plump cushions) etc

Suppose I'm thinking about aesthetics now to answer the question 🤔

I love that you posing this thought turned into such a fun conversation to read.

Kitty you always are so thoughtful in your responses. Taking the time to ask questions and dig in a little deeper.

And LadyL you give your thoughtful and thorough feedback so generously. It is extra nice to see because it is based on your experiences and you keep the threads so positive.
Might fuck around and sign up for Silver Single and see how many GILFs I can run thru in a week.
Damn I guess I can't make the list of ladies you'll run through in a week. 😂
The way this guy has verbally attacked women just solidifies my opinion about him.
Ugh! Its good to know for sure but having to see someone attack others that way is never good
Side note-i have no idea who AD is referring to but attacking women is not a good look.
I was today years old when I found out that flag football is going to be an Olympic sport starting in 2028. Men's competition and women's competition also.
And I was today years old when I found out that break dancing is a new Olympic sport for the 2024 summer Olympics. Why did they get rid of softball again???

As a sports fan with most of the summer off I love the big soccer tournaments, major cycling races, and Olympics.

Sadly today had none of those.

Good opportunity to go sweat in this ridiculous heat and get 18 holes in before 10 am.

Oh, yay, another follower! Someone I've never seen posting...how exciting. I'm one of over 500 on his list. I feel special. 🙄
The ones that really get me excited are those who joined within the last couple of weeks, have little to no posts and are already following 100 women (who have sexy AVs). Get in my box and make me wet 🤭

That one guy (name withheld) who "collects" then leaves, deleting his account, returns underca similar name, "collects" etc etc...

Yeah, that's just weird behavior.

How about the ones that have no posts or profile and pm you saying you seem like we would get along well. Want to chat? Like hmmm, let me think...oh that's right. It is a hard no. 😂
