Reminds me of...me! Years and years ago, after I divorced, I went year after year without dating. Every New Year's Eve I would think for a few minutes and "predict" if I would date someone during the year. For 5 straight years, I made my "odds" as "0% chance."
Then, on New Year's Eve of the 6th year, I could tell I had a reasonable chance of it happening. And it did. It's like I had a 5 year depression. But it evaporated eventually.
I am not trying to guess what your situation is. Just saying that your post made me remind myself...of me...

I am married…so absolutely different situation, but we’ve been non monogamous/poly for the better part of 15 years.
I was dating, but it ended. We’re still friends, and still navigating that, but I haven’t dated in nearly 2 years. Was listening to a podcast that had me pondering if I was ready to date again.
