What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I'm glad I didn't watch The Rainmaker in my 30s! Felt too much like Hepburn's character so I would have felt it too deeply.

I just looked something up. In the Twilight story, Bella was 17 years old when she met a 104-year-old Edward. That is some sick shit TBH. Sounds like a groomer to me! I'm half his age, and the thought of posing as a teenager and hanging out in high school to meet a girl...I wouldn't even expect to read that shit over in the fetish forum! Maybe the GB. No, not even the GB!

I'd normally be against banning books, but then I think of Twilight and I'm not so sure. I mean, if banning them early enough would have protected us all from the movies ever getting made, wouldn't it have been worth it?

First of all I am not an alt. I do have experience on lit, but I have no alternate screen name. I actually had to ask someone to find out what you meant by alt because I had no clue what you were talking about.
An alt is someone like you who here with an alternate name than the first time (or second, even) whether it's consecutive or concurrent.

Therefore, you ARE an alt. Just because you "had no clue" doesn't make it untrue.

And on that basis, why would you decide to judge someone who chooses to go with another screen name years after they were on before. And why would you assume you understand or know the reasons for that and assume that those reasons are not legitimate. That's a lot of assuming. I prefer just to get to know someone regardless of whether they're using a new screen name or not... don't really care... and find out if there's an actual connection regardless of perceptions initially there. But that takes effort and going out of yourself. And way too many people on here are not mature enough or not caring about other people enough to do that.

How did my post judge you?

In less than 25 words, please.

I have a bad habit of using a general you as opposed to a specific you. And given my past interactions with you under the other screen name, I know that isn't fair. In this case it was the general you, as in if you are in the Navy but you don't know how to swim, you probably should find another branch of service to be in. That kind of you. I'm sorry if I made you feel like I was saying you were judgy in particular.

You realize that anyone reading this post is going to go back to count, too! Or was it just me? 🙃
Lol... I've only pulled off counting words and getting it accurate and down to under so many words in very specific poetry prompts. And trying to edit those down took a lot of time and sucked.😂

I laughed out loud at this.

But I read all the books and went to the movies on the release dates. I was still in the classroom at the time and made it a point to read all of the books my students were choosing to read for fun. At that time it was Twilight, Hunger Games, 39 Clues, Shadow Hunter series, Maze Runner… loved all of them and loved talking to the kids about them even more.

Thinking I've been raising kids for 35 years and this last one (#6) is STILL blowing my mind with the drama!

"Driverless taxi service given green light to expand to California highways"

I'd be terrified of this, but if it averages 3 or less accidents per day, it's doing better than most California drivers...

Idiots all.
