You hit the nail on the head there.Sometimes Lit can be a super lonely place and it sucks. There are so many different groups of friends that it can be hard to find a spot to feel like you fit in.
I know how this feels. I see you, wonky (how did they NEVER get your name changed?? Do you want me to make another go at getting this done?)
I used to have a lot of connections here, people who I would log on specifically to talk with. I now feel like I know a lot of folks here, I’m familiar with many, but most of “my people” have stepped away or post less and I am also to blame for not being more proactive with my Lit friendships. I like so many people here, and there are a few I really watch for for good reasons, but am definitely not connecting with folks as I have in the past. In my case…it may be a good thing, but I know there was a time for me when it would have been devastating.
If you would not mind, I would appreciate that. This was my first name and I quickly changed to the Wonky one which suits me much better considering I can barely walk in a straight line these days.
it was weird how one day it was fine and then I tried to log in the next and it wasn't accepting any password etc. However if it has been lost, I may just make a new Wonky account. I know this makes me guilty of having multiple accounts but I prefer to have one that doesn't have my real name on it - a mistake I was too naive to understand when I first made the account.

If you feel the need or desire, I'd encourage you to make a new screen name/account. You can dial it in to reflect who you are better (and to give yourself some anonymity). That after a colleague i havent seen in years messages me today saying she's in the area and would like to see me, and then she starts flirting, and that gets me worked up, and I've got to wait 6 hours for my wife to get home so i can translate this energy into something good... im thinking it's going to be a long 6 hours.
