Y’all, it’s close to my bday. If we could just continue to not comment on that personal ad, it would be the best bday gift ever. Also, getting into arguments on threads like that open the door for the OP to infer that others are the problem. Not commenting is more impactful.

Sometimes Lit can be a super lonely place and it sucks. There are so many different groups of friends that it can be hard to find a spot to feel like you fit in.

I used to have a lot of connections here, people who I would log on specifically to talk with. I now feel like I know a lot of folks here, I’m familiar with many, but most of “my people” have stepped away or post less and I am also to blame for not being more proactive with my Lit friendships. I like so many people here, and there are a few I really watch for for good reasons, but am definitely not connecting with folks as I have in the past. In my case…it may be a good thing, but I know there was a time for me when it would have been devastating.
