I don't know the case you were ref. to in your post. But If I'm having a conversation with another person I would like their participation, therefore a response is required. Otherwise I'm talking to myself and I don't need someone else's company in order to do that. lol

You can either agree or disagree with me. That's not important. What's important is your input. Agree or disagree, I would like your opinion and the reasons behind it in either of those cases. But if one doesn't respond, in either way, I'll assume two things; he/she doesn't agree with me but it's too polite to say so, or is afraid to enter into an argument. And/or he/she is bored to death and the conversation ends there.

I agree with everything you've said about the continuation of conversation and will try harder in future.

And in a slightly more direct quotation of this post, I can think of so many people who are afraid to enter into an argument with you, for quite a few different reasons, I've even seen you call some out too

A healthy debate is good! I'm not interested in changing someone's mind as much as understanding why they think what they think. Even if they're wrong!

Nah, I'm not the kind of person one should fear to argue with. I can be impetuous when I'm having a conversation on subject I care, or I'm passionate about, and that can put someone off. Especially online, where people don't know me personally. But I would never ill judge or label someone just for having a different opinion than mine. I'm a curious person and far more interested to know the reasons and motivations behind someone's thinking and actions. I don't think arguing is a bad thing, as long as we do it in good faith.

It’s refers to all those men out their claiming to be alphas but really aren’t. You know the mansplaners who beat on their chest about how alpha they are or have to watch vids online about being alpha all day and share with others to prove their alpha.
Note to said SDE… a real alpha doesn’t talk about being alpha. It’s like fight club.
