What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

We were super poor when I was growing up so going to Red Lobster was like fine dining. 😂
I knew two sisters who waited tables at Red Lobster, and they would set me and their brother up with all the free food they could manage to sneak to us. I ain't too proud to get a free meal wherever I can find it, and I was always happy to eat at Red Lobster. 🤣

I haven’t eaten at Red Lobster in a decade. The food was sub par last visit. After you have been to a real seafood restaurant it’s just kinda sad. Loved it as a kid. It was one of my places for father/daughter dates. Pretty sure we went cuz my dad loved the stuff.

I haven't been to any kind of fast-food or chain restaurant in a decade. It's not some sort of ethical or high-minded choice I've made, it's just that it rarely occurs to me. I could devour a Hardee's burger right this minute and savor it immensely, but it would require a 20-mile round trip. Plus, I have several pounds of beef and venison in the freezer, and I can do it better. 😇

I hear you. I live near damn near everything you can think of food wise. Nothing is more than a 20 min drive away. 🤷🏾‍♀️
I only eat in because I can make a lot of things better than the restaurants. Cooking is not just a hobby but one of my happy places. Lol
When my ex hubby and I would fight I use to bake bread, pies, cookies and Tara. All just to work out my frustration and feelings.

Red lobster had the best marketing people in the world . The commercials were way more appetizing than the food lol

Not gonna lie, it's the garlic and cheese biscuits straight out of the oven. I'm a whore for those things. 😂

And I hear you. I wake up most mornings thinking about how much protein I need to get into my body to do what I need to do. But one of my greatest joys in life is cooking for and feeding other people. The latter makes the former worthwhile.

True true. I am bigger on a balanced breakfast. Fruit, carbs and protein. The American fascination with high proteins meals is why so many have obesity issues. You need carbs, vitamins and minerals my man. Unless you are an athlete. Otherwise you’re just setting yourself up for heart problems.

I know there will be plenty to work on, but I can't wait til my trip to Texas in June. 🥰🥰🥰
I also can't wait until my friend's wedding in a few weeks. 🥰🥰🥰

:ROFLMAO: I'm the same height and weight I was at thirteen. Nearly ate my parents out of house and home when I was putting on pounds to play high school football. I'm pushing sixty, but I still run around with kids, trying to work off the calories their parents pour into them. Yes, I will likely have a stroke or heart attack some day, but I'm going to rev this body for all it's worth. 🤣

Carbs in the morning kick my butt and screw up my blood sugar all day. I'm not into keto, but keeping my carbs low is best for me. I don't count fruit carbs. I'd rather have fruit than fruit juice.

I don’t do diets in general. They mess up the metabolism. I just eat balanced meals. I eat what I crave. I was raised to have balanced meals. You just have to figure out what amounts to put in each meal. Over all most folks don’t even know what a portion size looks like. 😂😂😂
If we just ate those right it would solve so many of our health issues collectively. 😳😳😳
I mean we are talking basic home economics stuff here. I know not all of us had it. They really should bring it back. Sewing, nutrition, cooking, iron, buttons. Basic life shit.

Seriously, the best morning energy boost I've found is just a couple of hard boiled eggs. And you shouldn't drink coffee--if you're into that--for at least an hour after you wake up. I personally have decided that not drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette first thing in the morning is a price I'm not willing to pay for a longer and more productive life, but supposedly it works. For individuals who don't have souls. :p

I do better with eggs than with oatmeal in the morning. Growing up, I'd fix a fried egg and bolony sandwich on toast, or tuna on toast with tea. Things aren't much different now. Coffee would be a sure way to end my life early, so I avoid it.
