If I may provide some clarity, I work in a field that has gotten all too cozy with outsourcing.

Sometimes, they want to retain you long enough to train the outsourced or consultant, ok, in that case you are entitled to ask for a benefit.

Get your CV or LinkedIn in order and call all of your contacts. Your negotiating position now is better than if you are out. The only reason to stay is if they tie a bonus for staying until the cutover to the new team.

It sucks, I know, don’t loose hope in your competence.

The treasury position will be open in Jan. It’s a higher pay grade. I’m training for that job now and will work as the back up and I’m still doing some accounting work. If I don’t get the treasury job I’ll look elsewhere. I’m cruising jobs now but the civilian sector here can’t compare benefits wise and that’s what I need more than pay. It’s all screwed up right now but I’m keeping my eyes open and trying to be flexible. I really appreciate the info though and I’m beefing up my resume and chatting with the people I know in town and other areas of the US.

I was offered an opportunity to show my loyalty to country by working border patrol down south 😂😂😂 best part of the offer is not all positions are paid but it’ll let you keep your federal status! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
