I was laughing at myself as I looked at the forecast for the next few days, because I was excited that Tuesday next week was only going to be 99.

I sort of feel weird complaining. I spent over 7 years in Death Valley where 99⁰ usually hit before 10am and temps didn't drop under 90⁰ even in the dead of night when we'd have cloud cover.

I'm not  that far into the desert! It's killing me that it only got down to 82 last night...I need cool temps and a blanket.

Things get put into perspective real quick when you find yourself in another desert where 110⁰ are the norm until you realize that Death Valley regularly climbed to 115⁰+. I mean, after 99⁰ it doesn't really matter! It's just freaking hot!

Well it's getting darker by the day here in western Europe too. But winters we don't really get here anymore, due to the changing climate. Would really love the ice and snow we had in the past.
