That it suck’s that folks feel the need to edit their photos in ways that change their bodies before posting them on Lit. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase what real people look like and it breaks my heart to see people shaving away at the areas they think are too big or adding to the areas they think should be bigger.

I am also thinking that it is not my place to care if folks edit their pics so they feel good about them. I do want everyone to feel lifted and valued. I guess I’m just annoyed that society makes people feel like they are not enough just as they are and that some folks have had negative comments that reinforce that narrative here.

You mean hating getting older or hating the birthday deal? I’ve always vaguely hated my birthday because it comes at a time that was inconvenient for my parents for much of my life & therefore it always felt like a chore to them. I never minded getting older until this year. I know it’s just a number, but 50 feels different.

There are three big crows (and a bunch of little ones) that come around here and they've gotten to the point to where they'll "caw" until I toss them out something
