My favorite color is purple. I remember when I was “younger” and people would always ask my favorite color. I’d often say black . I didn’t actually feel strongly about any color. Then at one point, maybe high school, I saw purple like I’d seen it for the first time. I realized that people actually have favorite colors and that they weren’t all just making it up for sake of answering the question. And I still love it! Any time I see something purple I want it a little bit more.
I’m curious if other people have had experiences like that.

PURPLE! I even had a purple lamp and purple velvet pillow on my bed when I was a girl. Now, I still love it, but I love shades of blue, as well. And green (sage).

When I was a kid my favorite color was blue. The. At some point in my teens in turned to green. Currently I have no strong feelings. With maybe a slight edge to a good dark green.

Like most “favorite” things I learned early on that telling people them meant a Christmas or birthday of nothing but those things. Which at be a function of my family being unoriginal but whatever.
