That was beautiful, you have a wonderful heart.I’ve been thinking about my ex’s grandmother who was slipping further into dementia near the end of our relationship.
Her and I were unexpectedly close and for whatever reason, when she began showing signs of animosity and trepidation, she found comfort in my company.
I was young, but even then I had the wits about me to step into her world, rather than try to force her into mine. If she wanted breakfast at 8pm, we had breakfast. If she suddenly believed her husband would be home at 5pm, well yes, Nanny, he will be. Let’s go sit outside and chat and watch the sunset like you used to do with your sister, I can be her for awhile.
Thinking about her now, I hope she has someone to be her sister, her friend, her daughter. I hope she’s ok.
I am rereading the Fellowship again. And I can't help but wonder, does every hill or mountain have a shoulder? Everywhere they go, the landscape is described as having a shoulder of a hill, or a mountain. I never realized how much time he spent describing the landscape and less time focused on the characters. I love the story, btw. Finally started listening to Lord of the Rings read by Andy Serkis (movie Gollum) earlier this week and it is a revelation! I usually prefer to read with my eyes, unless there’s an exceptional voice. Serkis has that benefit and more! JRRT’s historical and genealogical tangents are so much better when read by him. As much as I love the movies, and particularly the extended editions, I admit the book was a bit of a slog for me, and I normally love reading. I see Tolkien as more of a world-builder than a storyteller, and Jackson did an amazing job of bringing that world to the screen without bogging us down with convoluted details. Apparently Serkis is much more adept making the details conversational than the voice reading in my head. Or maybe it’s just more enjoyable when I can zone in and out instead of having to reread a half-page sentence 3 times to process it? Either way, it’s nice to hear the details in a more passive way without feeling like I’m having to study and memorize every detail.
*clears throat*I don’t think anyone has a bad voice
I know it's difficult not to feel that way, but you should not let someone's opinion of you hurt your confidence. I know I'm assuming, as I don't know what you're referring to, but just because someone doesn't see you as special, doesn't mean you're not special. Thanks to the one litster who verified my suspicions. I very much appreciate honesty. Even if it my self confidence takes a hard hit.
Absolutely!Oh I don’t wanna today. Can we just not?
LOL haven’t noticed that yet! Ring of Power series is very heavy on the establishing shots of hills thoughI am rereading the Fellowship again. Is the shower actually an incinerator?Wondering how AI can be put to good use. So far I’ve come up with
- AI E-girl that coaxes incels to shower “with” her
And that’s it so far but wouldn’t that be helpful? A small little start forward.

Is the shower actually an incinerator?
AI E-girl who reminds incels to use the bathroom like a normal human instead of turning a 2L Mountain Dew bottle into a multifunctional biohazard their mom has to deal with post-incineration?
Interesting.I thought she meant enticing incels to shower with their computer. Therefore electrocuting them. Problem solved!
Need a pollen emojiSpring has most definitely sprung...
