Rowing is a great, adjustable impact, cardio exercise that can work a lot of different muscle groups. Especially upper-body.
For me, its more fun and less monotonous than some other repetition work outs.
I kayak and fish ALLL the time during the warmer months, so rowing helps keeps my shoulders feeling strong during off-season.
I liked it so much I bought one.
I got suckered into the canoe “ride” on a ridiculously hot day at Disneyland once. They were calling out “no line, no waiting” as we walked by, and I guess we figured there was a track underwater or a quiet motor or something, but NOPE! Totally guest-poweredI rowed in high school and you couldn’t pay me to do an erg workout for fun. I get flashbacks just looking at them![]()
