It’s the new update they pushed I think. I only get messages from someone if I’m in a conversation with them actively

I currently can't even open the app but delayed notifications are pretty standard.
I've missed a few messages because they haven't shown until I've opened that conversation. It's just such a headache

Yeah, my iPad (on which I haven’t updated Skype) will usually show the new messages, otherwise I have to reply (without knowing to what I’m replying) to be able to see their new messages
