I don't know your particular situation but coming from a mama of a daughter whose dad really isn't in her life... I have seen the damage that causes and I can guarantee you that isn't true. All you have to do is love her. No one can ever replace you.
I promise you that she will see the effort you go to and that will be enough to bandaid any mistakes.![]()
I appreciate this, and I'm thankful for the perspective. I'm lucky that I get to see my daughter everyday (traveling for work on rare occasions aside), and I know there's a lot of truth to this. Sometimes, there's just a stretch of days where I'm like 'can I do any of this in a way that isn't actively fucking harmful?' But, I know I'm probably just being too hard on myself.
