What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I love the cold! However, the darkness of winters gets to me. I didn't have the time to do light therapy yesterday and so I was mildly depressed. Bleh.

I’m wondering about this “hypothetical” scenario:
Talking to someone for a few weeks, few days go by with nothing after your last message. You wait another few days and then send a message that says something like,
“I guess you’re busy. Thanks for the great convo *wink wink* Good luck!”
Nothing snotty or snarky. Then they reply with the “Oh no! I’ve been super busy” “I’ve not been able to get on” whatever. That’s fine. I get it, real life happens. No biggies and you pick back up and talk for another week.
THEN ghost!
Now, here’s what I’ve been thinking about…
Why not take the out when it was given? There was no animosity. There was just thanks for the fun. Life happens. Maybe I’ll see you around. Why insist that it’s all good only to ghost?
I’ve been around here long enough and been let down hard and easy, been ghosted and things have just fizzled out, am still friends with most past dalliances and refuse to acknowledge one or two…but I am just baffled by the thought process behind not taking the out that is given if you aren’t feeling it?
Okay that’s my rant - had to get that loop out of my head!
