Agreed. I made the mistake years ago in our first home and had to put a victim out of its misery (and mine)

It’s brutal but there arent many humane ways at getting rid of a real mice infestation. There is poison you can get that goes into bait boxes that are pet/child safe, that the mice will carry back to the colony and distribute the poison. They’ll die and dry up in the walls, usually. Odorless and almost humane, still sad though.

Odorless and almost humane, still sad though.

Get a cat. And a few of those electronic traps from Amazon. .
