What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

I suddenly (not so suddenly) have this urge to discuss the finer points of some of my favorite Disney movies. Even if in debate on certain topics.

I also suddenly have a craving for peanut butter. But that's unrelated.
I can’t seem to get to sleep.. trying so hard 😏

What’s your favorite Disney movie? The one you watched over and over growing up?

Oh, I can tell 🤭

Oh, gosh! Coming in with the hardball question right of the bat! Dammit. I watched a lot, I mean, a LOT of Disney movies. One of four girls, I was right in the middle, this made my range of options more than just my choice many times...

Buckle-up.
So, let me just break this down...

Live-action: Newsies, 1992 cult-classic starring a young Christian Bale and Bill Pullman. My two older sisters, their best friend and I would learn all the choreography to the numbers and perform them together. One of the few movies and activities I didn't get left out of.

Princess: if we aren't counting Mulan as an actual Princess, even though Disney has made her an honorary one, Beauty and the Beast. But, if we are counting Mulan, Mulan. The 1997 masterpiece, not the 2017 nonsense.

Non-Musical: Swiss Family Robinson. No further explanation necessary I feel like.

Wow Chloe! I so appreciate your dedication to my question!

I’m gonna say though, honestly, I read Beauty and the Beast and Mulan and knew our friendship made so much sense 😍

Now if you had added Peter Pan…

It's hard for me to ever just give one simple answer to a seemingly simple question. Especially about Disney.

Oh, that made me smile sooo BIG!!!
Now if you had added Peter Pan…
Oh shoot, see I knew I was missing a category or two! Oh, I love Peter Pan... but I love Hook even more, and Hook wasn't a Disney movie...

Non-princess Musical: The Jungle Book. There may have been a sexual awakening in that film that I didn't come to realize about myself until many, many years later...

Non-musical Animated: Tarzan. Oh, Phil Collins 🫠 and then using Tony Hawk and other skaters as inspo for the animation! Just, perfection!
