I could deal with the cold - but the snow? Already? No. Absolutely not. Never.I'm not quite ready for snow, but I don't mind the cold at all. The rain today is nice - I like rainy gloomy days for some reason...almost therapeutic

As much as I love California I don't think I'd deal well with the traffic. It might make me homicidal. Although, I do love the beach.

Back before my father died, he and I were talking on the phone one night and got into it pretty heavy.
He had microwaved three taquitos for dinner, and the ends had gotten too hard to comfortably chew.
I told him a little trick I'd picked up to keep that from happening, putting a wet paper towel in with them.
For the next thirty minutes he argued the directions didn't say anything about that, and I argued back that he should just try it.
Thinking about it, all these years after his death, that conversation pretty well sums up five decades of acquaintance.
