I was in Florida recently and my friend there was horrified that I had been walking in certain areas, just generally looking around. She told me very firmly that you just can’t do this there. And indeed explained about getting shot if you use a driveway to turn around. All so different to the U.K.

I haven't been to Florida since 2003 & have no reason to return. I'll stick to going to the Grand Canyon & Sedona which I love.
That's why I love Barbados so much. I spend 4 months of the year there & never had a single issue ever. It's way safer than Toronto which is considered relatively safe

I always said if I moved to the US, I'd move to California. Now that's a big HELL NO!!
Seems Florida is more my style as they seem to actual respect their citizens & their right to protect themselves.
