I’m nosey about crushes. What defines a crush? How do you know when you’re crushing? Are there levels of lit crush?

Infatuation, finding yourself thinking about the person randomly for no apparent reason. Some crushes are definitely stronger than others. I have no shame in admitting a small crush on your voice that was probably obvious though from above.

The only think I’d add is that I think there are different types of crushes. I have what I would say are girl crushes on particular females but it’s not in any sexual way, it’s admiration, appreciation type crush.

I would define a crush as an, often secret, desire to be with someone whom you find very attractive (for any number of reasons).

I don’t know about levels of crushes but there certainly types and stages.

Example of types:

• The “not my type” crush
• The “they know my name” crush (like how a barista is nice to you…and everyone)
• The “I would never” crush (a friend or a friend’s SO)
• The “total swoon” crush

Stages:

• Interest
• Curiosity
• Infatuation
• Sharing
• Something more…

Crush-(Azul definition) an infatuation with someone that can cause different results depending on the levels of infatuation.

If a person is in my thoughts when I wake up, randomly during the day and before I go to sleep then I am crushing on them.

I like Stacy's list as well. I also think there is a huge difference between someone who is crushable and someone I crush on. There are lots people who are absolutely lovely, hot, sexy, intriguing but there is no spark between us. No chemistry.

For me that would be the key element of a crush - romantic or otherwise - chemistry.

There are different levels and different types of crushes. There are romantic, swoony crushes where you want to spend all day talking and conne. There are sexy, lists crushes where you just want to ruin them. There are girl crushes where you just want to know there skin care routine. And there are friendship crushes where you share lots of interests or a sense of humor. Etc

I think you know when you look forward to your next interaction vs. Out of sight out of mind.

When I crush on someone it’s usually a physical thing whereas when I fall for someone there’s chemistry, it’s emotional. But that’s just me and I can be a complete idiot when it comes to people and emotions.

Crushing can lead to falling, but only if the crushing is mutual and the circumstances work out. Crushing is most of the time, one sided.

The more a person has had their heart broken, the less likely they will allow themselves to feel anything for another person, especially if their present situation is comfortable.

Hi this is one that I have had a problem with. I don’t understand how I can virtually feel that way about somebody. It has affected my thinking and emotional state but if I say a crush on somebody because I think about them morning during the day and night then that would apply if I fell for somebody. Maybe I’m just too new to this and need to Experience more. Maybe I don’t want to but yeah I mean I I don’t really know.
