Bingo. Those that announce almost always return. I admire the ones who leave without making a fuss and just go on with life. Heck, Miles and SB, for example, may be at least as prominent gone as when they are here. I have taken breaks without notice or subsequent note, and it will be that way if I ever leave for good. Message boards fill in vacuums and motor on.

I don't have an answer for that one. I've been known to take breaks, usually because this place becomes part of the problem rather than part of the solution. I generally ruminate on the decision for a bit, which leads to posts contemplating a break. It's like talking to myself, putting in text form so I can read it, parse it, find the holes in the argument or the pros and cons.
But then, I generally don't worry overly much what people think about my posts here. Most of them have nothing whatsoever to do with the boards or anybody on them anyhow.
I suspect that they want someone to tell them not to. Wouldn't change my mind, but maybe it's a cry for help? Or hell, maybe they just feel the need to put it out there. Wouldn't be the strangest thing I've seen around here.

Always my own. I'll listen to others, and respect their opinions and their experiences. But if I'm going to have thoughts about people, those thoughts are going to be mine and mine alone. If somebody else has a problem with someone, but they've never been anything but nice to me, I can appreciate why the other has the problem, but not share the opinion.
I'm done letting other people drive the opinion bus around my head. Always form your own opinion.

I form my own opinions of people. I have been warned about certain people and told that I shouldn’t talk to them but I’d like those people and I will always chat to them. Hi I like lots of people and just because they might not get on with somebody else doesn’t mean that I can’t get on with them. Most people on here are my cup of tea I like them.
