Well, human perception is always an interesting thing. It is sensory processing, and the problem with digital communication is it is lacking four of the five senses.
All we have is sight. There is no hearing for nuance, no visual for facial expression or body language, no touch, taste or smell. One sense.
And the problem with digital communication is are you deft enough with your words to express and convey all five forms of communication?
For example, I am always bewildered by why I perceive Rainshine as being nasty to me.
Rainshine always believes I am nasty to her (Or I think that is true. I hope I'm not putting words into her mouth.)
I am pretty certain that both of us do not understand how or why we both feel that way. Or maybe we do. I know I wish that wasn't the case.
How does one figure that? How does one solve that? If you want to be nosey, how about what lies underneath. What motivates someone like MrPractical -- who I don't know -- to post stuff like this, and why does it generate the response that it does since it seems to me, as a casual observer, to be posted to elicit that response?
And why don't folks move on from an obvious inciter whose sole purpose, it seems, is to create havoc and stir the pot.
But maybe I'm missing the point. I'm not very good or experienced at these boards and I think I always put that on display.
