I feel your pain. Knock on wood, its been about a year since I've suffered a bout, but last time had sitting at the kitchen table at 2:45am making lists of superheroes and what comic book their first appearance was in.

Roden, I deeply apologize for getting you hooked on mechanicals. I thought I was the only one who was awake at 2 a.m., trying to decide among colons, semi-colons and commas, in someone else's story. But are you going into copy-editing? Not that I mind competition; anything and anyone that promotes more and better writing is perfectly fine with me.

Ha. No. No worries there. I just want my writing to be as "clean" as possible.

The show was pretty good at times, but the theme song never failed to make me laugh

I worked graveyard shift for a decade, and the freak show is all too true. Never have gotten used to the normies that wander under the scathing gaze of the accursed burning orb.

Well at 2:22am I'm usually found in front of the computer screen watching the odd old episode of some obscure TV series on Net Flix or pounding the keyboard, adding more prose to the latest work in progress.

Then again I could just as well be going over the briefs due the next day in court, if I was a lawyer that is.
