new Sweet!!! Okay, there is only one member left alive, guitarist Andy Scott, but what a fun band.

Update: Andy Scott wants to get back on the road. The new album is classic Sweet played by his new band. The music is great. The vocalist, Paul Manzi, is good but no Billy Connelly by a long stretch.

The weirdest part was the intro to Ballroom Blitz. On the original Billy called out to the other three. For the new version they kept that with the original names, so Manzi is calling out to two dead people. Really weird when their replacements answered for them. They really should have changed to the new names

I'm with you on that. Okay, granted, I discovered "Love..." only a couple of years ago, but still - they get some regular rotation in our place. Next I'll probably buy a couple Status Quo records...

Love Sweet, great rock band when they took themselves seriously; 'Hellraiser', Ballroom Blitz', 'Blockbuster', 'Teenage Rampage', fab tunes. Not too sure about the teenybopper stuff, 'Poppa Joe', 'Co-Co', 'Little Willy', and 'Wigwam-Bam' had to be the low points of their career, but deffo 'Ballroom Blitz' to get me shoulder-bopping!
