What Are You Listening To Now? 6.0

Watching, well listening to MTV Classic while I’m writing.

“Alive and kicking”, Simple Minds.

Dream Theater : Scenes From A Memory

All the DT talk prompted me to spin this one. Some of my favorite DT tracks are on other albums but on the whole this is my favorite album.

I agree, all the albums have their gems but Scenes stands up as solid start to finish.

Opeth : Blackwater Park

Truly excellent.

I'm almost ready to say that it's better than the excellent-er Still Life.

Fish : Weltschmerz

Am I the only person who doesn't think this is Fish's best?

Ow! indeed. I first heard of her on QI and yes I listened, and no, there's no substitute for a complete lack of talent. Delusional and sad is how she comes across, but you can't fault her pioneering spirit, she gives tone-deaf women the world over hope that they too can sing at Carnegie Hall...

Only if one has a very rich and indulgent husband.
There is a view that she did it as a joke on the establishment.

IQ : Dark Matter

Their best, AFAIC. Many have accused it being a clone of Genesis, and their long track being copied from Supper's Ready. I disagree.
