Love love Marc Almond and Soft Cell. Tainted Love and Say Hello, Wave Goodbye are such classics

A bit of patriotism heard only once a year, on the last night of the Proms.
Some buffoons are trying to stop it (for some obscure reason). Owing to COVID-19,
there's no audience so it will be an 'instrumental'.
This version is a bit of humour.

You should maybe listen to 'Torch', a single release later tacked onto the remastered in 1996 'Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing' (US release) album from 1982, Almond's voice was pure and melodic (it still is), yet wretched and world-weary at the same time, it's a sadly ngelected classic, and so of its time.

Lotta Sea Lice - Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile

Very quirky folk rock, distinctive voices - and Kurt (I think) plays great slide guitar.

geez that is like my playlist for the eighties. Love, love, love it. Played tons of those songs in mediocre bar bands in the eighties.
Thanks for the fun memories

Book One

Outlaws of Ravenhurst

mix a Renaissance band with a decent eighties rock band, stir well and you get the idea of this band. Fun stuff!

Gird your loins - six new prog releases tomorrow (that I know of) - highlights are Pineapple Thief and Rikard Sjoblom's other band Gungfly.
