What Are You Listening To Now? 6.0

Sorceress

Opeth

One of my all-time favorite bands (yes, including their earlier black-metal catalog).

I've met and socialized with Mikael Ackerfeld twice, seen them live 3 times, and enjoy pretty-much everything they've output.

Little-known fact that I learned when they were still only doing black-metal : Mikael Ackerfeld's all-time favorite band? Camel!

Unusual for an act that was considered to be pure death metal at the time.

(Besides Porcupine Tree, of course. Remember that Opeth toured with PT, and Wilson produced 3 Opeth albums.)

And Wilson and Akerfeldt are Storms of Corrosion.

Anachronos : Anachronos

It's litfan10's fault. He made me listen to it, forced me to spend money on it, drove me to the poor-house!

:D :D

Symphonic progressive music from Chile, female-fronted but mostly instrumental with a slight metallic touch,

More shameless self-promotion:

Seriously, this summer isn't good for me. I should lay off the drugs.

Heh, while posting this, I received my first "hey, wanna trade followers on SoundCloud?" letter.

Ummm, yeah. No. I don't want your hacked followers, bro. Rather to vegetate in obscurity than artificially inflate some artificial number to feel better. Who knows how many of these traded followers ever click one of my songs anyway? If I wanted to become a rock star, I would have given out a lot more blowjobs in my younger years. One guitarist is enough :)

Trust me, with all the recent prog releases, it's a mutual ride to the poor house.

Wow - I haven't hear anything by them for decades! I need to dust off some old records. (Figuratively speaking, of course. My collection of +5,500 albums has all been ripped, and it's all instantly accessible on a hard drive (backed up in 3 places).

Oh, Lori! :D

What can I say, Will plays it to wind me up, and it grew on me; that and 'Moondance', plus, I know how to foxtrot, and Will is a good dancer, so we'll put them on and dance around the room like grown-ups and get all nostalgic for the 70's even though we were both just little kids back then.
