Visigoth - Warrior Queen

Their latest album "Conquerer's Oath" is easily the best traditional metal record I've heard in a decade. Fantastic riffs, heroic vocals, THOSE FUCKING CHOIRS!!!, melodies, melodies and even more melodies. This doesn't sound like Manowar, but it draws from much of the same ideas - and is leaps and bounds better than anything they have put out since "Kings Of Metal".

And in contrast to much of today's dark and dreary stuff, this album will leave you with a smile. Happy Metal? Yes, indeed. :)

The Secret Book & Scone Society by Ellery Adams. I’m addicted to audiobooks when I’m not reading.

On a whim, I bought the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Honestly, compared to today's pop music, the disco stuff sounds so airy, positive and fresh. Not to mention the mix is much better. You can hear so much more than a cheap drum machine, some artificial noises and talent-free idiots rapping.

When even a heavy-metal loving dancefloor avoider like myself wants to shake his overweight booty to "You Should Be Dancing" or "Night Fever", the Bee Gees have done something absolutely right.

An old .mp3 archive CD I had lying around. About eight hours of music, mainly old '80s metal albums like "Seven Churches" by Possessed, "To Mega Therion" by Celtic Frost, "Frost And Fire" by Cirith Ungol, that kind of stuff.
