Classic Rock for me.

Foreigner - 4 (the whole album)

Next up after that is ZZ Top's Eliminator. Just some happy tunes.

A reissue of Robert Johnson just ended and now I am listening to Lionel Ritchie. next on the agenda is the Von Cliburn recording of Tchaikovskys 1st Piano Concerto. And all of you grammar cops, I don't even care if Tchi whateve is spelled right, it is onlt chat.

Not quite listening, but it was involved - a fantastic documentary by Jools Holland on London music through the centuries. It's on Youtube and highly recommended.

I have just come back from our local movie multiplex after seeing a live transmission from New York - The Metropolitan Opera's production of Rossini's La Cenerentola with Joyce Di Marco in the title role - her last time as La Cenerentola.

She received a standing ovation at the end. She deserved it. It was an incredible performance.

Here is a concert performance of Joyce singing the final aria: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6rcV1ltrNo
