What are you doing right now? (besides online & on Lit.)

We want to see some tight patterns, Milady Thyri when you return! :D And what are you taking out today?

My Henry .357, Ruger Single ten .22 revolver, and Ruger SP101 .22 revolver.

If my scanner works when I get home, I'll post my results. If not, I'll have to scan it from work tomorrow. ;)

Just finished making breakfast burritos for tomorrow morning - Eggs, chopped bacon and ham, mushrooms, salsa, and finely shredded colby jack wrapped in a large, warm tortilla, then wrapped tightly in Press and seal and tossed in the fridge for tomorrow...

oh lord... you just made me hungry. Those sound so good.

The cheese melts all over the warm insides...

*pokes at her tummy*

Okay okay. I'm going to go feed you now.

The question is what. Ketrell is making me think a breakfast burrito is in order. Then again, by the time I get to the refrigerator, my mind might just change.

ETA:

Laundry. Ugh. Sia just reminded me that mine needs to go in the dryer.

Range results

Okay, it was a stressful week. It took me some time to settle down. I started with my Henry .357 rifle, but was shooting .38 specials through it. They're cheaper. The first target is a 12 inch diameter target, and my scanner doesn't go that large, so it cut off the sides. You can just see the edge of one of my worst strays in the bottom right in the pink zone.

At first, my shots were going all over the place on this target. Well, at least by my standards, as you will see in a minute. It took me the first 15 shots or so to find out my sights were loose! So I tightened them down again and began to put small groups together as I worked on adjusting them back where they needed to be zeroed in.

Then I switched to a fresh 8 inch target for 20 rounds to check my sights.

I adjusted just a little more, and then it was time to get serious. 40 rounds worth of serious. I had a couple strays. Once again, this was a 12 inch target so the scanner clipped it, but even the furthest strays were on there.

That was my rifle practice today. Then I went over to the pistol side to shoot a couple .22 revolvers. Results of those in the next post so I don't go over the attachment limit.

Range results: .22 pistols

After the rifle practice, I went to the pistol side to shoot my Ruger revolvers for a while. I shot 250 rounds total of .22 ammo. I started with 50 rounds in this first target as a warm up, then later I came back and put another 25 rounds in it with the Ruger Single Ten. This is a silvery colored cowboy type gun that shoots ten rounds instead of six. This was an 8 inch target at about 50 feet.

Not bad, but more in the yellow zone than I would like. I can do better, I decided, so it was time to get serious. Once again, 50 rounds, and then came back later for another 25. Same distance.

That's the way Thyri likes it! :D

Then I switched guns to a Ruger Sp101 in .22 caliber. This is a more modern double action type revolver that holds 8 shots at a time. It has a shorter barrel than my Single Ten by about an inch and a half. But honestly, I'm just not as good with this gun because I don't shoot it as much. Here is 100 rounds at 50 feet.

Anyhow, that was my afternoon. I come home so very relaxed! I love this feeling. It's better than pills, better even than sex. I wish it could last all week!
