Hi, I got a story published on the site and I got a question for anyone who knows the site very well. I am wondering, when you are looking for a story, and it has the stories and a little number under it in parenthesis, like (4.21) or (0.00) ect. what does that mean? Also the numbers dont seem to go higher then (5.00) I dont understand what they are. I was thinking maybe a date, maybe a time, but I didnt see how either of those could fit.

That's the ranking of your story. Just everyone's way of letting you know what they think of your work.

0.00 means you haven't gotten 10 votes yet. Any other number is rating your story on a scale of 1 - 5. I'm not quite sure what the criteria is, since I have a 1.20 story and a 3.96 story. Can't be the writing quality :)

Everyone rates stories differently. Personally, a story is worthy of a 4 or 5 if it is well written, developed, and yet it still gets your blood pumping and it arouses you.. I don't give out anything below a 2 because I don't think that any story deserves a 1. I know how hard it is to write a story, and even if it isn't that good of a story, an author still deserves a little something for the effort.

Really? Geez.

I thought it was that as well but though there is nooo wayy mine could have gotten a 5 out of 5, but you all say it is so dang. I dont know how that happened. I think there has been a mistake. lol. Thanks all.
