What are .cpt files?

Someone sent me an Email today with some pics in it (apparently), but I can't open the attachment because it is in a .cpt file. I have no software to open it, and I don't even know what it is.

Can anyone tell me what they are and recomend a program I could use to open it? Cheers.

That is a Corel PhotoPaint file. If you have Adobe Illustrator, I believe you can open those files with that program and then save them to be compatible with Photoshop, then save them as .jpgs or .gifs from there.
