What annoys you?

Thankfully, I more easily amused than distracted, but some inane things do can get to me. For instance, people not letting you merge out of a parking lot when they are driving up to a red light.

I do not care for the commercialization/ruination of good songs be it Iggy Pop, Jet or Möterhead. There is an endless list probably worthy of it's own thread. The last one was Wal-Mart, of all people, using a Youngbloods song.

So, what annoys you, or what commercialization of a song got to you?

People in the right lane approaching a red light who have no intention of turning right in this right-on-red-legal State.

People that assume I am a pace car. I really don't care if you want to drive faster than me or slower than me but why do you have to drive exactly my speed in my blind spot? That isn't drafting.

The neighbor lady pretty much blocked me in my driveway.

Annoyed.

Wait, there are states where you can't turn right on red??
What kind of backwards hillbilly bullshit is that?

Add one more to the list.

Women who after they pay for a purchase have to stay there and put everything back in their wallet, then rearrange their pocketbook and hold up the line while they do.

That and seeing people panhandling....but smoking while they do it. Smokes are $9 a pack? Wouldn't you be better served getting some food?

It annoys me when I see cross dressers *cough*Que*cough* stick their red panties in with whites.

What can I say? I'm OC with laundry.

I fully admit to being an idiot driver when I was younger. I drove far too fast and was completely unconscious of the drivers around me. Thankfully, I have mellowed. I would not be in the right lane if I was not making a right turn. I get that. Also, the blind spot thing, no, don't hang out there.

That's just downright rude. I would be beyond annoyed.

I have volumes of lists of things that annoy me.

So, spill a couple. :)

The former would annoy me as well. I try to be speedy and apologize if I feel I am holding others up.

Panhandlers do not bother me, I can give them money or not. They have zero effect on me. Matter of fact, I used to panhandle back in my teens to get my little brother into shows, etc even though I always worked. It worked out rather well. :D

If its a bad intersection, there is no right on red, here.

This makes me really like you. Who is to say the person who panhandled wasn't given the cigarettes? As you said, you can give them money or not. You can give them food or not. I have done both. We are so judgmental of others, not knowing what addictions, battles, demons, they have faced.

Thanks. I am on the board of a charity that helps folks that find themselves in temporary need. You never know a persons story good or bad. I find it's best to never make assumptions.

Drivers who have no respect for others on "their" road as seen by their use of cell phones while driving to talk or text. I ride a motorcycle and 90% of my close calls ( No pun....but it works) are from people on cell phones. I had some strong words for a young lady who almost t-boned me one time. Had her in tears. Asked her if she'd go to my funeral and explain to my grandchildren why her phone was more important than my life.

People who smack when they eat bug me too.

People talking in the cinema.
People constantly fucking around on their phones.
People who slurp their tea.
People who stand too close to you in queues.
People who drive up your arse.
People who walk in front of you and stop for no reason.
PPI calls.
Companies with a long phone greeting.
People who work on the till in the supermarket chatting as if they were your best friend. Just scan the goods you cunts.
Waiters constantly asking if your food is okay.
St Peter's posts.

I feel the same. Panhandling to get your brother in to a show... how sweet.

I usually assume that if things are bad enough that you're standing on the street asking strangers for help, then you need a couple bucks more than I do. I almost always give something if I have something. If I were in that position, I'd want a couple bucks, and a cigarette, and a cocktail. Probably also a pedicure and a puppy.

Being asked, "What annoys you?" annoys me.
String players who don't re-tune annoy me.
Personal possessions gone hiding annoy me.

Many little things annoy me, but so what?
Many big things do more than annoy me.

Asshole neighbors and their noisy dogs.
Smokers dropping lit butts in the forest.
Current politics, music, and opaque air.

We need a 0-5 annoyance index.
Zero: not bothered at all
One: only slightly bothered
Two: starting to be annoyed
Three: really really annoyed
Four: more than slightly pissed
Five: crush that fucktard's skull!
Okay, I annoy myself a lot. And probably those around me, poor babies. That happens. And almost everybody and everything I encounter annoys me, more or less.
Them: "Hey, it's grumpy old Hypoxia Smurf!"
Me: "Yo mama wears combat boots. Three of-em."
Hint: If you're a spy, don't be annoying. People will notice you. Or DO be annoying. People will think you're just another asshole. World's full of-em, eh? Some are in the mirror.

At lest she seemed to have understood what she did once you spoke to her. But, yeah, road manners are even more important when out on a bike. I've had a couple of spills due to others lack of awareness.

Table manners are a big thing for me. I grew up in a family of "Yes, sir", "No ma'am", please and thank you. Having good table manners have stuck with me the most. Still, children that do not use their manners annoy me. There was a kid in front of my youngest and I on the way into preschool acting like a brat, and my little one loudly proclaimed "Mama, they are not using their very best manners".

I concur with all of that, but I don't know what a PPI call is.

People that stop and block doorways, elevators, escalators, or
other small spaces where there are throngs of people.

The lack of 80s hair.

It needs a comeback

My hair agrees with you.

I was thinking about a 1-2 on the annoyance scale. Not an I wear combat boots and want to curb your skull level.

Lucky poker players who think they're brilliant make me absolutely murderous.
