What age group do you socialize with?

I don't have any friends.
Perhaps its due to my glaring lack of elegance.

When I was younger, I preferred the company of adults my parents age to the company of my peers. As I've grown older I have become more isolated from all age groups. I don't much socialize anymore but when I do it tends to be with the thirty-somethings. I am 36.

I find myself socializing with people in their early 30's, more than with my own age group (40's). My brother, only a few years older than me, has a lot of friends in their 60's.

How common is it, to spend a lot of time with people who are not in your age group?

Joe, I'm 32 and I spend most of my time (in RL and online) with people in their mid 40's or 50's.

Most of my friends are of an age with me, but that's mostly because I first met them when I went to school, or through people I first met in school, so that's not surprising. The interesting thing is that, when given the choice of a wide selection of adult blokes to socialise with at my new rugby club, I gravitated straight to the 28-35 y/os to hang with, rather than joining the 18-24 group.

running off to read your stuff!

Do you have any stories like what you described above? That certainly heat up the temperature in my chair! If not, please get down to writing some.:)
LOL, I should! But it'd smack of Mary-Sue-ism ... and it'd probably make my husband nervous ;) Of course, at those same cons he spends a lot of time ogling the corsets and gothgirls and schoolgirls ... at least we'll be in hell together.
