A female FB friend posted that she was physically ill that anyone would question any woman reporting an assault, no matter how long ago it was.
Many women have a beloved man in their lives.
I would sincerely like to know how a woman would respond to a charge that her father committed a sexual assault 35 years prior.
Lets assume said father lead an exemplary life in his daughter's eyes. Faithful husband, loving supportive father.
How would that woman respond to the woman accusing her father?

If you couldn't ask your "female FB friend" all this directly, then she's not a "friend," guy.

Stop whining.

I'm not whining. i want to understand. I want to see how people follow though. I want to see if they accept the consequences of their positions. I want to see if they have true compassion or false compassion.

Don't worry, Ramone, no one will ever accuse you of being a man.

You are a truly gross person.

This "question" series wanders all over the map, but it seems to end up with the implication that Ford should not have pointed out her experience with Kavanaugh because it might shatter his image as an exemplary father in his daughter's eyes.

Maybe Mrs. K can help by telling the daughter:

"Daddy applied for the highest lifetime position in the U.S. government. That woman is saying Daddy did something bad long ago, and then lied about it in order to get the lifetime position. Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers. Daddy still loves you, and you still love Daddy, no matter what happens with the important lifetime position."

Does that help take away your sads, Ramone?

Still, not one answer to a legitimate question. Pathetic. This is a waste of time.

It's not a legitimate question. Having a child doesn't excuse you from being held accountable for sex crimes because your daughter might learn her father is actually a piece of shit.

Or, you know...Ford and or all the people that thought this made a dandy 11th hour surprise could have made their concerns known to the committee in a timely fashion, been willing to submit to the committee investigators and the committee itself if deemed appropriate, then allowed the Senators and the President to make an informed judgement to go forward or not.

Had she done that, and felt her concerns were not heard and given weighty consideration, a public recounting might well have been appropriate. No one took that route.

Splashing completely unsubstantiated allegations publically at the last possible hour solely to embarrass and intimidate a judge (who might, as far as you or anyone can know might be actually innocent)into withdrawing was inappropriate by any civil standard of decorum.

If you did exactly the same thing to a non-public figure, it would be actionable.

No. it's legitimate. You just don't have the balls to answer.

The way this would have been done if Feinstein felt that the information from Ford, together with the credibility one could reasonably attach to it given the holes in the story, the juvenile timeframes, and years elapsed, she would have shared it in committee and encouraged McConnell to advise Trump to withdraw Kavenaugh.

You can rest assured that she ran this by someone of Mitchell's background before she decided it was not reasonable to Bork him with that.

Someone else of the "by any means necessary" contingent decided that they could high-tech lynch him anyway.

Painting this as anything more than a convenient tidbit to effect a smear with is disingenuous.

Rare would be the circumstance that such thin gruel would have seen the light of day, were it not for the fact that desired end game justified the means in the minds of those who participated in this.

Your female friend is white.

White women got black people murdered with false accusations. This is a part of US history, a part of our lynching days

Example:
This was a huge turning point for civil rights battles back in 1955.Little kid murdered because the nice white lady said he sexually assaulted her. Last year this bitch admitted she lied: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ill-family-wants-truth-accuser-lies/97683096/

I heard no contrition on this... the bitch is younger than Cosby when we loced him up the other day. Fuck yall

Yall lie. We lie too. Everyone lies. Just because someone says what happened does not mean they are telling the truth. White chicks are believed more than everyone else. Dig into the fact you lazy fuck.

My people were murdered. Swung from trees when the white women lied.

OK, now they want to hang white men based upon their word. Snap! Hang him!

Go ahead. I don't participate. It's npt my battle.

But trust me, I am not the only black voter who is thinking everything I am saying here...

Typically stupid.

In this case, according to him, he did not go to this party and did not know her. There is no way to inoculate yourself from someone claiming you were at some unspecified place at an unspecified time assaulting someone you have never met.

Not to mention that you lot laughed derisively that pence actually does hold himself to the standards above.

Because of some unfounded allegations in the me-too movement as well as the idiotic idea that you should believe every woman who opens her mouth because some women don't speak up already has had consequences for women. With good justification men are going to exclude women from social contact and opportunities with coworkers. That is going to affect your ability to network and to achieve a advancement.

Good Luck running the world with your girl power, all girl, lean in committees.

Does not compute. Tell me why this is not a worthy question.

Men don’t need you to protect their feelings by you demanding that we, posters on an Internet forum for people who like to talk about smut, all recognize that good men everywhere are somehow in danger of being violated by rape victims.

You have made the point often that (my paraphrase) the intersectionality of oppression pyramid has white women at the tippy top. Until you pointed that out I had never noticed that. But I am quite sure you are exactly right.

It was a white woman who invented the concept of the knapsack of privileges that I supposedly have been toting around all of my life ready to spring at any time to leapfrog over any women or person of color.

White women are now the gatekeepers of corporate America and academia. They hold a lot of the relevant positions in admission in decisions on hiring firing tenure all of it. Even in departments that they do not have the numbers, they have absolute veto power.

They have bought their position of power on the backs of claiming stewardship over all of the other dusadvantaged groups. Never mind that white women are the largest demographic group, they gets set-asides for federal contracts as if they are somehow without power.
