THANK GOD! The rain stopped just in time for the bayou's to empty out a bit. EVERYONE thought we'd awake to major flooding today and it stopped just in time. We're not out of the woods yet, but the news is so much better this morning than when we went to sleep last night.

High 65 today. Cloudy, some sunshine (did I really say that?) expected this afternoon. Warming to the mid 70s by week's end.

I did finally convince myself to vote. My record's intact, every time since I pulled the lever for Gerry Ford in '76. (And that was the last time I voted Republican, too.)

It's dang cold, but the snow we got last week is almost gone. It's partly cloudy with occassional bursts of sunshine. I love having windows in my office!
