I intend to present a series of short posts, starting with AoA 0, and followed by AoA 1, AoA 2, ... The rest of the thread under each AoA post will be left for comments and discussion.

AoA = Art of Agreement​

Art of Agreement is the ever-developing body of knowledge that implements the one and only ethical/moral commandment:

do not impose​

The decent people obey the commandment, the indecent people -- violate it.

It's not always easy to follow the commandment. AoA will help. AoA itself is not easy hence it is based on the

Art of Thinking​

Thus it is not about voting but about thinking. Furthermore, AoA is assisted by the Art of Communication, where the word communication is meant.

AoA is concerned with human interaction (on every level, from personal to whole society). The goal is to achieve global prosperity (we do have technological means for this), and as the after affect to influence people to be nicer human beings -- nothing is assumed about people, and there would be no imposition.

To avoid a logical trap -- the commandment is a direct principle, it's not a meta-principle. The acts of and the attempts at impositions are not covered by the commandment. For instance, if someone tries to kill you (which would be an ultimate imposition on you), then you should protect yourself. Protecting yourself from being killed is a meta-imposition on the criminal but it does not count as an imposition.

You see that the commandment and AoA indeed need the Art of Thinking (and should be assisted by Art of Communications, so that people don't get fooled by word games and similar).

About the AoA series of threads on Lit.

In the next AoA 1, AoA 2, ... articles, I will address -- steps by step -- topics like banking (my knaB is a possible answer), business, economy, education, healthcare, human rights, income tax, insurance, law, ..., stock market, ...

In each of my opening AoA articles, I will avoid mentioning any political parties or any politicians. There is room for these kinds of issues in the replies (if one feels a need), under the posts that open the threads. The AoA articles which open the consecutive threads will be very basic.

Even in this present thread (as well as in the future threads), one may mention specific items, problems, questions or consider or ask for more details.

Talking about details, let me mention that the commandment "do not impose!" is about adults who are of sound mind. Nevertheless, one should remember about treating children and people who are not of sound mind, humanely, with an understanding. Decent people, within the bounds of common sense, should provide everybody with as much freedom as possible; one should know and appreciate and respect their potential. It's sad how easily children and handicapped people are victimized.

Fortunately, nice things happen too. The last time I visited my friends in Europe, they honored me by letting me spend time with their small grandson. He and I would roam around the city freely, it was a quiet city. But when a car would show up in a distance, I would catch and grab the kid and would keep him in my arms against the kid's energetic objections. When the car went by, the kid was free to roam again.

Months after I parted with my friends, their grandson, on seeing a car from a distance, would run to his grandpa and would raise his arms to be picked up.
