<laughing> Cos I hope you're joking.

The stats on this are actually very eye-opening; most people who have it, don't ever realize they have had it. Umm, you don't really have it, do you? :(

I really do have it. :(

I went to the doc earlier this week because I've been feeling like dirt. They poked and prodded and drew blood and I didn't even get a lollipop.

I heard back from my doc this afternoon with the results from the blood tests. I have it.

Mostly it's flu-like symptoms like swollen glands, fever, dehydration, etc. but one of the more enjoyable aspects of it <cough> is what my doctor termed "complete and utter debilitating fatigue." On the extreme side, it can cause permanent neurological damage. Mine is definitely not a severe case, but it's not fun, nonetheless.

Awww, bless :rose: be well, gorgeous.

She doesn't have to be kidding. We just had our 3rd death from it this summer (and a lot more infections that haven't been fatal). It's mosquito carried. McKenna, if you're not it is more dangerous to those that are very young, very old, or have health issues. Get lots of rest, eat healthy and have a strong healthy man come wait on you hand and foot *looks around for volunteers* :D

Then pamper yourself. Hopefully, you have a "friend"/lover/spouse to nurse you.

(I'd do it myself, but I'm booked. Sorry)

Aww. :( K, you can have the "bite me" as a trademark. :rose:

Poor you. Can I stroke your sweaty brow, or bring you ice chips? That's the extent of my nursing skills.

Feel better.

Peace. :rose:

<basking in the pity>

:D

Thanks all, mostly I'm just tired. No, scratch that, it's more like I'm T-I-R-E-D. I've been sleeping more than I'm awake, most days.

I am outside a fair piece. The mosquitos do occasionally like to dine upon my blood, the little buggers. I am sure this is how I contracted it.

English Lady, does this mean I can have comfort food now? Will you fly over and fix it for me?! :D

I understand she has swollen glands*. They should be gently massaged as she goes to sleep.

*just LOOK at them!

Mosquitoes are nasty little buggers. Anytime I go outside in the evening, I end up with about 25 bites all over my legs.

Pssst, those aren't my glands.

Crim, as a friend said the other day, his new cologne will now be Eau de DEET.

Ugh. That sounds unsettling enough in the non-severe form, and the exhaustion most be wretched. Best thoughts and wishes for a swift recovery.

Of course. I'll be right over! :rose:

erm Min....can I borrow your wings for a while....?

Eesh. Wishing you lots of steaks and ice cream. Although preferably not on the same plate.

The Earl

Thank you all for your well wishes. Trust me on this, wear mosquito dope when you're out and about.

This isn't fun.

Well, except for the pity and attention part. :D
