Actor sean Hayes took home a screen Actors Guild award for best supporting actor for his role of "Jack Macfarland" on Will and Grace as did his partner in crime actress Megan Mullally("Karen Walker") who won best supporting actress.

Not exactly my favorite show~I made it a point to watch it in it first season and found the characters to be hysterial satirizations of the kind of people you can find here in the city...especially Jack and Karen but I also feel the show in it use rapidly went the same way all hit sit coms go and is too safe. They need to push a little more.

They need to show some fucking.

None the less I always enjoying seeing one of my people recieve a prestigious award.

fruit loops, the whole lot of you folks.

did I ever mention I eat fruit lopps for breakfast sometimes?

I've always found that show to be a bit over the top, and it seems to me that if they ever acknowledged the existence of bisexuality, the whole premise would collapse.
But it is a positive thing that a show like that can be successful I suppose.

You title reminds me of MzChrista's slogan "I'm here, I'm queer, go pound sand up your ass."

Glam: personally, i am a Queer As Folk fan myself.... kinda.

I have only watched it a couple of times since i keep forgetting it's on, but its good.

well from what ie seen all of them jut look crazy.

I also gie a big thumbs down to most of what i saw worn. I didnt watch the whole show but what the fuck was melissa gilbert wearing. the embroidery was exquiite but the neckline was just all wrong for her.

i was really glad stokard hanning won~the off the shoulder taffeta mermaid gown was fire.

I love Stockard Channing. But Melissa Gilbert, well, let's just say you can take the girl out of Roseanne, but you can't take Roseanne out of the girl.

Congratulations Glam for the gayest post I have ever read...ROTLMAO  I adore you!!

well i am a fashion designer darling.

the mom from six feet under really needed to be smacked with a fitting stick~my god at least loose darts in that sack she called a dress.

I love taffeta, too bad you can only get away with wearing it to weddings :(

oh not at all~taffetta is an amazing and ersatile texile~there are dozens of different kinds~tissue, moire, irradesent, ombre, different weights and hands.

mixing tightly rouched taffetta and re~embroidered laces for coctail can be quite chic.

My 80's wardrobe was like that. I miss the 80's..big hair, bustiers and taffeta for days! :)

Personally I love The Jack and Karen Show, umm...I mean Will & Grace. Yes the people are caracatures, but they are hysterical, the acting is wonderful and it's a great dose of overthetop right before the weekend.

Of course it's safe, it's network television. But at least it's out there. For the first time there a hit sitcom with a gay LEAD. For the first time in network TV the gay man isn't reduced to campy sidekick or quirky neighbor. It's a start. So there's no fucking, they'll get there. For now I'm just happy to see it on top.

Actually you can't take the girl out of the Little House on the Prarie.... Melissa is the one who played Laura on that show... her sister Sara Gilbert played Roseanne's daughter... I much perfer Sara to Melissa...

I didn't see the show... who won best actress and actor in the films?

things on top are good.

rox this is a lurex taffetta~a de la renta.theres also shantung and raw taffeta.

OK, but what about Soap? I still think Billy Crystal's Jody was wonderful.

One of my all-time favorite shows.

And a network leading gay character. Sure, he was a bit campy, but in a good way. He was more real, I think, than the Will & Grace folks.

Jodi popped into my mind as i was reading suntrucks post too~definately a groundbreaking character. I wasnt allowed to wacth soap a a little kid (it was an adult how) but i used to sneak downtairs to wacth it on purpose just to see the [whisper]gay man[/whisper].

(I knew even back then)

Its weird how many shows have had gay themes and characters but rarely do you get to see two gay men get it on.

I liked the character of carter from spin city~another show i rarely watch but the few epiodes Ie seen in late night reruns that focused on him were fun. As with mot sit com characters the character was caricaturized, but it was a much more realistic send up of a hard working successful gay guy with a great wardrobe and a high sex drive.

One of my favorite moment in gay tv history was when Homer took Bart to a gay steel mill.
