So I'm watching the news, because let's face it, I want to know what's going on in the world. Why else? And this report about Osama and his "peeps" comes on, and they alledgedly say that they will have to strike the United States in their heartland.

Now, I LIVE in the "heartland" as it's called, and for a moment or two, I felt like I should be concerned.

What do you think the chances are that they could pull it off now, with all the "upgraded security" in the U.S.?

They could probably pull it off, but getting caught is another thing. But they don't really care about getting caught.

As for the heartland statement, they are just figuring this out now?

That's exactly my point!

I've travelled domestically and internationally several times since last September. It pisses me off when the "security" just lets me pass through, without checking my laptop, or digital camera, and video camera. Not to mention anything else. I must fit some kind of profile that fits the people who don't have to be searched.

There's better security at sporting events, that wont' let you bring in bottled water, or snack foods.

Don't forget finger nail clippers, or tweezers. Man I wonder how many planes have been brought down by nail clippers and tweezers.

I know that when I came back to the U.S. in September, they wouldn't let me have my house keys on the plane, or in my carry ons. I had to take a chance that my check-in luggace would make it back home, so I could get into my own freakin' house.

BTW, I agree on the point about "unity".

I to live in the heartland and if they decide to bring it here they will. These people will do what they want because they have no fear. To there people they are already dead. They have nothing to lose. To them dying for there cause is the only way to get into heaven. Think about it if you knew the only way to get into heaven was to kill as many people as possible what would you do? These people are fanatics they have no care and it is difficult to stop someone who doesn't care if they live or die.

Bringing death to someone else does not equal Heaven, and it certainly in my eyes, does not indicate a good human being.

Hang tight Lobito I agree with you. But you are adding logic to these people. THEY ARE FANATICS they have only 1 goal and that is what other tell them. These people are not right in the head. Logic and common sence has NOTHING to do with it. This is simple fact. Like it or not beleive it or not it is still the truth. But for the record I to am worried.

The quote I heard bantied about was that they want to kill Americans in their homes. As a person residing in the heartland, I believe its only a matter of time before they do something. What better place to strike fear than somewhere in the midwest? Say a shopping mall or your favorite neighborhood bar and grill. I hope it doesnt happen, but I have my doubts. If we have thought about it so have our enemies.
