Last time I posted it was drama related, so I just wanted to hear some good news. Like I recently hit 10K views on The Confession!! Like damn bro, I’m fucking happy.

I published e-book #198 last night and scored a sick deal on a comic collection Friday night, and my wife's birthday(the wife I almost lost 8 years ago) is tomorrow so I am doing well in the moment.

It's been a nice, quiet Sunday, getting some chores done. Later I'll be grilling chicken shish kebab and serving it with lemon rice and grilled vegetables and grilled pita strips with tzatziki sauce for company, and that should be fun.

I've been making progress on several stories the last few days and am cautiously optimistic about getting submissions in for the Summer contest and the AI event. I'm stoked about both stories whether I get them in on time or not.

I'm at the end of a cluster headache that lasted for 124 days, so I'm on top of the friggin' world! Still in pain and so on, but everything else simply does not compare to those, so to me it's little more than an itch.

Which also means I've gone from barely being able to write, to resuming writing seven different things at once.

Did a brilliant deal for a set of tube output transformers, which means I can finally build a pair of stupid big direct heated triode amps I've wanted to do for a long time, and sell another pair for even better bucks.

Finishing up in my ridiculously stressful job tomorrow, with some really interesting prospects on the horizon. My latest story now has nearly double the views of my last two combined, which has been a wild ride.

Made the deadline over the weekend to submit a short story to a SF&F contest. Waiting to hear back from another short story contest I’d entered in May (responses to be sent mid-August…)

Lost (an unsurprising for us result) our Old Man’s soccer game over the weekend, but for the first time this season (April-August) no one limped off with a serious injury . One more weekend…

Have a decent start on two potential Summer Lovin’ stories, not sure whether to try and get both or focus just on one… Neither fits well for later contests.

On the side of the ledger, my Nude Day story went live a month ago, has over 10K views, but only 5 votes. That’s one vote per 2,000 views, way out of line across my stories. And, if you’re wondering, I have hard stats for my stories, this isn’t a gut feeling. It’s 5x my average number of views per vote.

Wow. Those stats are way out of line for anything I've seen on this site. I generally see at least 2/100 votes/views. That's an order of magnitude difference.

Know how you feel. I received a terminal diagnosis at the age of 12 and again at the age of 19. I celebrated my 76th birthday last week at a mountain musical festival.
