Well wishes for our daredevil Naded

Well Lit fans...our beloved daredevil of Lit has run off and got himself into the hospital after some much unfortunate luck while sky diving earlier today. Naded is presently in the hospital undergoing surgery on his knee and there is some concern about bruising to his kidneys, an irregular heatbeat, swelling in his spine, and well there are other concerns as well....True Confessions thread has a post from his roommate Mike informed us of his surgery and is keeping us updated about his condition.

So if you have come across our beloved Naded and have any thoughts or prayers for his speedy recovery, please post here. Maybe Mike can print them out and bring them to him. or Naded will have lots of stuff to read when he gets out. (Although he has promised to sneak the laptop in LOL, so like him!) If you dont know him, believe me you would want to....he truly is a good soul!

Ok, this is Mike again.

I just got back from the hospital and Jay is still in surgery, though they have finished with his knee and are trying to work on hisother issues at the moment. Its really touch and go at the moment and he is struggling, though I think from what you all have said you know what kind of fighter he is.

I spoke with the doctor, Dr. McKenzie after he finished Jay's kne, the other 2 docotrs are working on his other problems. Dr. McKenzie says Jay is doing well, but the internal bleeding in his right knee has damaged the nerves in his right leg. They took a hell of a lot of scar tissue out of his knee and they think alot of it is old but there was so new.

Ok, heres the bad news, he should regain 95 if not 100 % full use of his leg in a few weeks of physical thep. But no more sky diving. If he does he runs the risk of doing extreme damage to his knee. Jay is not going to handle that well and will need encouragement during recovery.

Also, Jay's kidneys are bruised and there might be some internal bleeding but we won't know till they are done and come out to talk to us. This is one of two areas they are most concerned with. The other is the swelling on his spinal column in his neck, I think its the #3 thoratic vertebrea. They have drained it, but the pressure has not reduced in the last few hours. X rays show some damage there to the cartlage in between the #3 and #4.

I was there in the ambulance when he went unconcious and he looks peaceful so he isn't feeling anything right now. Dr. McKenzie is very hopeful on Jay waking up when he gets into recovery so don'tt panic, he believes it was Jay's body saying it was time to rest.

Ok, I am here packing up some things, laptop, cell phone, etc etc, and getting a few of his Army buddies settled in. I have no clue who called them but the hospital and now the apartment is full of them. Those guys stick together so Jay has lots of company right now.

Thank you so much for this thread you made, it was extremely kind of you and will be sure to drive him bonkers. I will let you know when he gets out of surgery.

We've all been so worried about you, stubborn man that you are! You are in my thoughts and prayers. (Even if you hate that ) I'll be waiting right here until we get word that you are safely out of surgery. I know you are hating the hospital, but you'll be home soon enough. Until then, do what you need to do to heal. I hate to think of you in pain . If you need any ice for the swelling you just let me know. I'll call the hospital to make sure there are no more Cousin It nurses with scary needles...only sexy little things that love to give sponge baths to take good care of you.

I'll work on your surprise tonight, and maybe Mike can get it to you.
